Creative Explosion about the Creative Treehouse
I just got back from a meeting about the cooleset new place in Pittsburgh. It’s called the Creative Treehouse and it’s everything you ever imagined. Almost like a fort of creative designers, artists, writters, photographers, filmographers, programmers, and everything creative. IT WAS A BLAST!!!!!!!!
Tonight we discussed an event we are putting together called the creative marathon. Not to be biased or anything but it’s pretty much going to be the coolest thing ever. Here’s the idea. The event will be 24 hours, containing a creative binge and gallery show. Starting at roughly 8pm or so on a Friday in mid Feburary the artists would have all night long to create media around a central theme for the event. For example “road trip”. You could be a videographer, a painter, sculpter, comic artist, or whatever and create something about or using the road trip theme. Then at roughtly 6pm the very next day a gallery show will open to the public to display the work.
The gallery show will feature a video of the process, as well as live music and awards for the created media. Pieces will be sold on a 50/50 basis to help raise money to fund the creative treehouse.
I’m totally pumped about it!!!!!
Put your creative hats on and fullfill those new years resolutions about doing something creative this year!

The Creative Treehouse is going to open to the public in Early March, but there will be a kick off event in late February.
