I’ve been married 7 days and I gotta tell you. I’m really enjoying it! Putting on a wedding was one of the toughest things I have to do. Thank goodness Rach is so awesome!

We have an non traditional wedding with an art show, volleyball, and hillbilly golf. The day was gorgeous and food was spectacular.

This morning I indulged myself . I was surrounded with some close friends, great conversation, and good food at the world famous Affogato Coffee House in Bellevue. My hotcakes, as I call them, were delightfully filled with peanut butter and chocolate chips. Truly an amazing creation. Unlike classic hotcakes, these were blue. Yes that’s right blue; purposely dyed for easter. Brilliant I savored every bite.

While chowing down on my sugary deliciousness I ran into none other than Mr. Bacon Pants. Where he said “I’m on Flickr and then what happened? Just cause your on Flickr doesn’t mean I can stop posting.”

And then I was busted. He caught me. I smiled and did my best to justify my absence. But he got me. I haven’t posted anything in about week. Although I have been quite ill, it was not a satisfactory consolation prize. So my excuse was that I was on Flickr and then I died. The flu got me and typing out a blog may have actually killed me. Maybe not, but it sounds dramatic.

We exchanged a few more laughs and I returned to good conversation and a plate full of an inevitable sugar buzz. Which got me thinking about the moment in the moment. And at that partiulcar moment, for a split second anyhow, I was actually enjoying the moment as it was happening. Which is very rare for me. I’m usually so wrapped up in either what’s going to happen, or analyzing how something did happen. Completely distracting me from the here and the now. The present. The moment taking place right before me.

In the spirit of spring and new beginnings, I’m proposing to enjoy life in the moment that it’s happening. Not just to reflect on what happened or to build up anticipation for what is going to happen. To truly recognize and endorse the moment in the present. To be honest I’m not really sure how to do that, but I’ve got some great friends that are going to help me along the way.

So this morning I decided I would join the ranks of the rest of the world and I’ve joined Flickr. Honestly I don’t know what has taken me so long. Most likely it’s because my SLR is on the fritz and thinking about taking nice pictures bums me out.

Any how I put a flickr badge to the right, and I’m looking to post more images from the up and coming events like bootCamp, Pittsburgh Podcamp 2, and my PTI Brush up.

Ohh yeah and my wedding. It’s going to be a busy summer
